Job summary

Solas IT Recruitment seeks a proactive Lead Project Manager to head the Project Management team in our North Dublin hybrid setup. Lead two PMs, oversee ~20 active projects from scoping through testing and delivery, and drive delivery standards with a clear decision-making framework.

You will partner with senior stakeholders, manage cross-functional delivery challenges and ensure consistent governance and reporting across the portfolio. Hybrid role with onsite three days weekly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Project Management.
• Proven experience leading or managing other Project Managers.
• Experience overseeing a project portfolio or delivery function.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage, coach and develop two Project Managers with clear objectives and accountability.
• Provide guidance on project planning, stakeholder management, risk resolution and delivery decisions.
• Review workloads and allocate responsibilities across the team to ensure capacity and ownership.
• Support the team through complex delivery challenges and step in for senior leadership when needed.
• Build a culture of ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Take accountability for delivery across approximately 20 concurrent projects from scoping to completion.
• Oversee project plans, milestones, dependencies and resources to align with business priorities.
• Identify delivery risks early and agree recovery plans to resolve blockers.
• Maintain portfolio performance visibility and focus resources on high-value work.
• Take direct ownership of complex/high-priority projects when required.
• Balance timelines, scope, commercial priorities and quality for successful outcomes.
