Blue Forge Recruitment is partnering with a leading Retail Convenience Forecourt Group to recruit a Deli Manager for Charleville Co. Cork. You will lead deli operations, ensure fresh food display standards, and manage a small team in a busy high-pressured environment.

The role requires experience in fresh food, strong organisational skills, and the ability to start early in the morning. Competitive salary and progression opportunities are offered with 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Strong organisational and stock control skills, including ordering fresh food products.
• Maintain high standards of customer service, cleanliness, and fresh food displays.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Support the Deli Manager in day-to-day running of a busy deli, including ready meals, hot food, cold food, and salad bar.
• Manage 4-6 staff members, organise workloads, and ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Work with the Retail Manager to monitor sales, manage stock levels, and reduce waste.
• Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP records are up to date.
• Maintain high standards across all deli departments and ensure staff meet expectations.
• Train and support deli staff to follow procedures and improve department performance.

Blue Forge Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading Retail Convenience Forecourt Group, operating an extensive network of stores across Munster and some parts of Leinster. Fresh food is a core pillar of their business and a key differentiator within their retail model.

Our client is seeking an experienced, and motivated individual to join their team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in fresh food, fast food, catering, deli operations, or a similar environment. The store is located in Charleville near Fermoy, Kilworth, Shanballymore, and the surrounding areas. Due to the early morning start times, candidates with their own transport are preferred. Working closely with the Deli Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the deli. You will support the wider team, maintain excellent food hygiene and presentation standards, and ensure customers receive a friendly and consistently high level of service.
