Job summary

Clontarf Hospital is seeking a part-time Data Protection/Freedom of Information Officer to oversee data protection compliance and FOI processes. The role reports to the Chief Executive Officer and involves collaboration with the ICT team and hospital departments to ensure GDPR adherence.

The post requires a 3rd level qualification, at least two years' experience in data protection or records management, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Hold a 3rd level qualification in data protection or related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in data protection, information management or records management.
• Experience with GDPR and FOI processes.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Act as principal point of contact for the Data Protection Commission (DPC) on all data protection issues.
• Lead FOI end-to-end processing and respond to requests within statutory timeframes.
• Develop GDPR/compliance policies with ICT and hospital departments.
• Provide GDPR awareness training to staff.
