Job summary

Cpl Group in Dublin 4 seeks a Data Officer for a 6-month fixed-term contract to drive data protection governance. The role offers hybrid working arrangements and a starting salary of €83,113 per annum, pro-rated for the contract duration.

You will liaise with stakeholders, support DPIAs, ROPA maintenance, and act as a DPO delegate as needed. Strong GDPR expertise, five years in data protection, and excellent organizational skills are essential to manage data risk and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years' experience in a data protection role.
• Relevant GDPR/DP Act 2018 knowledge.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical advice.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to provide guidance and constructive challenge on projects and new initiatives to manage data risks and regulatory requirements
• Act as a delegate for the Data Protection Officer (DPO) as required.
• Provide advice on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
• Support incident and data breach management activities.
• Manage data subject rights requests.
• Support file management and administration activities.
• Maintain and update the Record of Processing Activities (ROPA).
• Manage the Data Protection mailbox, including business-as-usual queries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the development and maintenance of data protection policies and procedures.

Position Details

Job Title: Data Officer

Duration: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Location: Dublin 4 (Hybrid working arrangements available)

Salary: Assistant Principal Officer Scale commencing at €83,113 per annum (pro-rated for the duration of the contract)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Working Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with stakeholders to provide guidance and constructive challenge on projects and new initiatives to manage data risks and regulatory requirements
