Job summary

Ramboll Group seeks an Associate/Principal Mechanical Engineer for Data Centre projects. You will lead mechanical design delivery, coordinate with electrical counterparts, and manage client-facing aspects while guiding engineers and performing critical design work as needed.

The role focuses on cooling, ventilation, automation & control, and related systems, with emphasis on sustainable design and building physics. You will collaborate across disciplines within the Buildings department.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with accredited status.
• Experience with mission critical systems in data centres or similar.
• Pursuing or achieved IEng/CEng status.
• Strong communication and ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Interest in digital/parametric design tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead Ramboll on datacentre projects, guiding your discipline and coordinating engineers.
• Drive project delivery with minimal supervision on technical aspects.
• Use design production tools (CAD, Bluebeam, calculations) and collaborate with BIM technicians.
• Complete detailed designs and supervise team members.
• Coordinate tasks to meet deadlines and strengthen client relationships.
