Job summary

H-Tech Supports is seeking an experienced Data Centre Engineer (Level 2) to join our infrastructure team in Castlebar. You will design, manage, and maintain VMware vSphere and Windows virtualization, oversee backup and disaster recovery, and drive automation for continual service improvement.

You will implement monitoring, run RCA analyses for major incidents and contribute to ITSM processes while maintaining comprehensive documentation and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi configuration, HA, upgrades and Hyper-V.
• Hands-on with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Windows Server administration and clustering.
• SAN/NAS integration with virtualized environments.
• Enterprise backup tools such as Veeam or Veritas.
• Scripting with PowerShell and vSphere PowerCLI.
• Understanding of ITSM, Incident/Problem/Change Management.
• Strong RCA capabilities for complex outages.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, upgrade, and migrate VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi environments.
• Configure ESXi for High Availability (HA) and monitor server performance.
• Administer Windows Server environments, AD, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Clustering.
• Integrate and manage SAN/NAS storage with VMware layers.
• Develop PowerShell and PowerCLI scripts to automate operations.
• Implement monitoring solutions and perform RCA for major incidents.
• Create and maintain SOPs and KB articles, CSI plans.
