Job summary

eir business is seeking a Senior Cloud Consultant to join the expanding team in Ireland. The role emphasizes hands-on design, deployment and upgrade of VMware vSphere, vSAN and ESXi, plus KVM/Proxmox environments, storage, and disaster recovery platforms such as Zerto and Veeam.

You will collaborate with Professional Services, Cloud Operations and Service Delivery to deliver customer cloud projects across datacentres, providing architecture guidance and implementation planning.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 years experience in hands-on infrastructure, cloud or virtualization engineering.
Strong experience deploying, upgrading and supporting VMware vSphere environments.
Good troubleshooting and incident-resolution skills in complex environments.
Experience delivering technical implementation work for customer projects.
Experience with compute, storage, networking and disaster recovery design.

Responsibilities

Design, install and configure VMware vSphere environments including ESXi, vCenter and vSAN.
Design and implement KVM-based environments with Proxmox or similar.
Deliver upgrades, migrations, hardware refreshes and platform enhancements.
Configure and support SAN technologies (Fibre Channel, iSCSI) and storage.
Support Zerto DR solutions and perform testing, validation and documentation.
Implement and support Veeam Backup & Replication and recovery testing.
Create high-level/low-level designs, BOM input and migration planning.
Produce technical documentation and handover materials; liaise with project teams.
