Job summary

Tech People 247 is seeking a Data Center Engineer for onsite dispatch support in Cork, Ireland. The role requires 5–7 years in enterprise IT infrastructure and close collaboration with technical/operations teams.

You will manage tickets, coordinate stakeholder attendance, and provide in-person or remote issue resolution. Responsibilities include rack and stack, cabling, network/storage support, and ensuring SLAs.

Qualifications

5–7 years of Enterprise IT Infrastructure and Data Center experience.
3+ years collaborating with technical and operations teams.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, technology or science.
Knowledge of ITIL framework and ITIL environment.
Experience with ticket management systems and incident handling.
Strong communication and coordination with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Update and record activities in the IT Ticket Management System.
Coordinate attendance time and date with key stakeholders.
Communicate relevant project information to the team clearly.
Ticket SLAs and KPIs are achieved; implement policies, procedures and materials to assure compliance.
Carry all necessary tools and laptops to support onsite issues.
Provide support via phone, remote tools, or onsite at dispatch.
Perform installations as needed (physical or network medium).
Support Network and Server teams by assisting with rack and stack and running cables.
Update and record tickets, coordinate attendance with stakeholders; manage team.
Work independently and with the team; customer-facing with Client.
Manage and monitor server infrastructure; familiar with backups and recovery.
