A leading data center solutions provider is looking for a Data Center Technician based in Carlow, Ireland. This freelance on-site position offers an annual salary ranging from €52,000 to €65,000. Key responsibilities include installing and maintaining equipment, monitoring systems, and providing troubleshooting support. Ideal candidates should have over three years of data center operations experience and strong cabling skills. This role also demands ability to lift heavy loads and work in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years data center operations experience.
• Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, CDCE) preferred.
• Understanding of power distribution and UPS systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.

Skills

Expert cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fiber)

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Excellent documentation and communication skills
