Job summary

Amazon Data Services Ireland Limited is seeking an Engineering Technician (Shifts) in Dublin to support Data Center Engineering Operations. The role involves hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and operation, daily readings, and supervising contractors to maintain critical data center infrastructure.

The candidate will join AWS Infrastructure Services, collaborating with software, hardware, and network engineers to maintain safe, reliable, and cost-effective cloud operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Technical qualification (Level 6 or higher) in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, Mechatronic Engineering, Instrumentation or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety standards and promote a world-class safety culture.
• Operate and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment (UPS, switchgear, circuit breakers, ATS, generators, chillers, HVAC, VFDs, transformers).
• Troubleshoot events within SLA timelines and take routine readings (temperatures, voltages, currents).
• Supervise contractors performing servicing or preventive maintenance.
• Manual handling and shift work may be required.
