Job summary

Amazon Data Services Ireland Limited is hiring a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to support our global infrastructure. You will troubleshoot and operate critical electrical and mechanical equipment, perform routine rounds, and help maintain world-class safety standards in a fast-paced data center environment.

You will work with UPS, switchgear, generators, HVAC, and other essential systems, while coordinating with contractors and teams to ensure continuous operations.

Qualifications

• Basic professional qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience with electrical systems and safety practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and promote a strong safety culture.
• Operate and troubleshoot UPS, Switchgear, ATS, Diesel Generators, Chillers, HVAC, Fans, VFDs, and Transformers.
• Take daily readings of temperatures, voltages, and currents during rounds.
• Supervise contractors performing servicing or preventive maintenance.
• Assist with manual handling and lifting within safety limits.
• Work in shifts as required.
