Job summary

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our expanding team in Ireland. This hands-on role focuses on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation to keep one of the world's largest information system infrastructures running smoothly.

You'll monitor temperatures, voltages, currents, and other readings while coordinating with contractors for preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

Experience with electrical and mechanical equipment used in data centers.
Willingness to work in shifts and follow safety protocols.
Ability to supervise contractors and perform routine rounds.

Responsibilities

Follow and uphold the highest safety standards to foster a world-class safety culture.
Own safety initiatives and partner with teams to remediate risks.
Operate and maintain UPS, switchgear, ATS, generators, HVAC, and related equipment.
Troubleshoot events within SLA timelines and log readings (temps, voltages, currents).
Supervise contractors performing servicing or maintenance activities.
Manual handling and lifting may be required; adhere to health & safety rules.
Work a shift schedule as needed.
