Job summary

Amazon Data Services Ireland Limited is seeking a Controls Engineer for Construction (BMS/EPMS) to manage and deploy building automation systems across AWS data centers in EMEA. The role involves coordinating with Data Center Engineering Operations and other departments to ensure high availability, performance, and cost efficiency.

You will deploy and upgrade BMS/EPMS platforms, work on project scopes, and travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in vendor management.
• Experience in data center or other critical environment.
• Experience in data center engineering or operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Ascertain customer needs to develop project scope and specifications.
• Manage scopes of work relative to site specifics and customer needs.
• Manage project engineering to determine scope relative to design intent.
• Read and interpret specifications and implement them in the work environment.
• Develop control panel BOMs.
• Develop ISA data sheets for temperature, level, flow, and pressure transmitters and control valves.
• Prepare cable routing plans and schedules.
• Perform inspections, testing, and commissioning of facility systems.
