Job summary

BnM is hiring a Data & AI Manager to establish and govern an enterprise data and AI strategy. You will lead governance, develop roadmaps aligned to business goals and ISO27001, and enable secure AI adoption across the organisation.

The role focuses on data platforms, analytics capabilities, and regulatory compliance, with a mandate to improve decision-making and operational performance via data-driven solutions.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
  • Master's degree in Data Science/AI/Analytics is desirable.
  • Professional certificates such as Fabric Analytics Engineer, Azure Data Engineer, Azure AI Engineer, TOGAF, ITIL, Prince2/PMP or CDMP are desirable.
  • Energy & Utilities / Regulatory environments experience is favorable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the BnM Data & AI Strategy.
  • Lead the Data and AI Governance Committee.
  • Establish a roadmap aligned to business objectives and ISO27001.
  • Identify opportunities where data and AI can improve efficiency, revenue and project delivery.
  • Oversee data governance, quality, policies and controls across the enterprise.

Data & AI Manager Newbridge The Role: BnM is hiring a Data and AI Manager. The Data & AI Manager is responsible for establishing, leading and governing BnM's enterprise data and artificial intelligence strategy to unlock business value, improve decision-making, enhance operational performance, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role will drive the development of data governance, analytics capabilities, reporting platforms, AI adoption, and data literacy across the organisation. The Data & AI Manager will act as a strategic partner to business leaders, ensuring data is treated as a critical enterprise asset and that AI solutions are deployed responsibly, securely, and ethically. The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following: Develop and execute the BnM Data & AI Strategy. Lead the Data and AI Governance Committee Establish a roadmap aligned to business objectives, digital transformation goals and ISO27001. Identify opportunities where data and AI can improve efficiency, revenue, and project delivery. Data Governance: Establish enterprise-wide data governance and ownership. Implement data quality standards, policies, and controls. Ensure compliance with: GDPR, NIS2, AI Act requirements, Information Security Standards, Internal Governance Frameworks Ensure data platforms, analytics and AI solutions are designed, deployed and operated securely, in partnership with Cybersecurity and Risk Management AI Enablement: Lead the safe, responsible and secure adoption of AI technologies. Develop and oversee governance frameworks for Generative AI and Machine Learning. Identify, prioritise and implement AI use cases across BnM operations. Evaluate emerging AI technologies and assess business applicability. Lead AI training, awareness and capability development across the organisation. Drive adoption, promote best practice, build understanding of AI opportunities and risks, and ensure the organisation remains up to date with ongoing developments. Business Intelligence & Analytics: Deliver trusted reporting and dashboards. Improve executive decision-making through advanced analytics. Drive self-service analytics capabilities across business functions. Data Platform Management: Manage enterprise data architecture and data platforms. Ensure scalability, reliability, security, and performance. Oversee integration of operational and corporate datasets. Data & AI Culture Development: Improve data & AI literacy across the organisation. Build communities of practice. Promote evidence-based decision making. All employees are expected to co-operate fully with all provisions taken by the company for ensuring Health and Safety, and Welfare of co-employees and members of the public using the premises. Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team's objectives.

What we’re looking for: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge, and attributes: A degree in Data Analytics/ Computer Science/ Information Systems/ Engineering/ Mathematics/ Related Discipline is essential Understanding of the Microsoft Ecosystem: Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Power Platform, M365 Copilot, SharePoint, Teams Experience in the following is essential: 7+ years leading data, analytics or information management functions. Experience managing technical teams and suppliers. Data & Analytics Designing and implementing enterprise data strategies. Data governance frameworks. Business Intelligence and reporting platforms. Data quality and master data management. AI & Innovation Delivering AI, machine learning or automation initiatives. Generative AI implementation and governance. Use of Microsoft Copilot and AI productivity tools. Stakeholder Management Operating at Executive level. Presenting business cases and investment proposals. Managing competing priorities across multiple business units. A Master's degree in Data Science/AI/Analytics/Business Information Systems is desirable Professional Certificates such as Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer, Microsoft Azure Data Engineer, Microsoft Azure AI Engineer, TOGAF, ITIL Foundation, Prince2 / PMP, Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) are desirable Experience in the following is desirable: Energy & Utilities Renewable energy sector. Utilities. Critical infrastructure. OT/IT convergence environments. Regulatory Environments NIS2 GDPR Operational resilience frameworks AI governance frameworks.
