Job summary

Zurich 56 Company Ltd is seeking a data engineering professional to design, build, and maintain the Data Warehouse and Datamarts. You will develop ETL processes, create automated reports and dashboards in Power BI, and ensure data accuracy in Azure cloud platforms.

You will collaborate with IT and SMEs, drive data governance, and support analytics across the business. The role requires 5+ years of data engineering experience, strong Azure / Power BI skills, and the ability to work in an agile

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in computer science.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering and Azure cloud services.
• Experience architecting data solutions on Azure and software development.
• Proficiency in big data, analytics, database modeling/management, DevOps and AI services in Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain the Data Warehouse/Datamart models aligned with business needs.
• Create and maintain modern data pipelines for company-wide data access.
• Develop ETL processes and automated reports/dashboards using Power BI.
• Collaborate with IT to ensure accurate data in cloud platforms and monitor data pipelines.
• Produce technical documentation and support data governance practices.

Job description

• Support design, build and maintain of the business Data Warehouse / Datamart models, by understanding the business needs and identifying best practice solutions – including documenting requirements, working with IT and SMEs ( Subject Matter Experts ), ETL development, testing etc
• Build and maintain modern data pipelines that make data available and accessible to the entire company
• Design, implement, and maintain ETL processes for our data.
• Gain an understanding of the business, and apply the knowledge in developing automated reports and dashboards using Power BI, driven by the Data Warehouse / Datamarts.
• Collaborate with IT developers to ensure that the data going into cloud platform is accurate and being represented correctly.
• Solving deployment incidents if they happen.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Monitor and resolve operational issues related to infrastructure and data pipelines.
• Helping to train and support other business functions to work with the Data Warehouse, and build their own dashboards, analytics
• Supporting other project teams and users for data extract, PoC ( proof of concepts ) etc…
• Supporting good data governance – establishing data dictionaries, monitoring data quality, and preparing related documentation / dashboards

Your Skills and Experience

• Bachelor / Master degree in computer science and 5+ years of experience in data engineering, Azure cloud services and power BI.
• Experience in architecting data solutions on Azure cloud platform and software development
• Proficiency in big data, analytics, database modeling / management, DevOps and AI services in Azure cloud
• Eager to take ownership of the solutions, care about the user impact & delivery
• Proficiency in AI tools and turn adoption into real business benefit ( e.g. workflow automation, AI-assisted analytics etc )
• Experience in working with business users and IT teams
• Experience with power BI, Azure services e.g. Synapse, Databricks, dbt
• Knowledge of insurance products and operation / data flows will be advantage
• Knowledge of n8n, Claude Code, Copilot Studio will be advantage
• Strong at working in an agile and dynamic environment. Lead and manage IT aspects of the project as required.
