Job summary

DFDS in Ireland is seeking a Customs Supervisor to lead a team of five clerks and oversee evening customs operations, ensuring accurate declarations and regulatory compliance.

You will drive process improvements, manage documentation for Catch Certificates, TRACES, RoRo and deep-sea freight, and liaise with customers and partners to uphold high standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years' experience in a customs supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of customs compliance procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience handling Catch Certificates, TRACES documentation, RoRo movements and deep-sea freight operations.

Are you passionate about process excellence, regulatory compliance, and delivering high standards of customer service? If so, you could be the newest addition to our team as a Customs Supervisor.

About The Role

Working Monday to Friday, 14:00–22:30, you'll oversee evening customs operations, ensuring customs declarations, compliance activities, and export documentation are completed accurately and on time. Leading a team of five Customs Clerks/Administrators, you'll play a key role in supporting customers, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving process consistency across the customs function.

You Will Be Responsible For

About You

You'll have at least two years' experience in a customs supervisory role, with strong knowledge of customs compliance procedures and regulatory requirements. Experience managing Catch Certificates, TRACES documentation, RoRo movements, and deep-sea freight operations is essential.

Strong IT skills are required, including confidence using Microsoft Excel and Word, alongside customs and logistics systems. You'll be commercially aware, highly organised, and capable of balancing customer requirements with compliance obligations.
