Job summary

Cross Border Talents is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join an international team in Portugal. You will support customers via chat, phone, or email, handling queries with empathy and accuracy, and aim for first-contact resolution.

Relocation support is available, including coverage of flight and housing, plus a company-provided apartment and language lessons. You’ll work in a dynamic environment with clear progression and attractive bonuses.

Qualifications

• Fluent English written and spoken.
• Prior customer service experience, ideally in banking, insurance, or financial services.
• At least 12 months in complaints handling, fraud & disputes, or Mastercard/Visa rule experience.
• Strong track record of meeting targets while delivering top-tier service.
• Empathy, adaptability and a genuine desire to help people.
• EU passport or Portuguese residency card (must have).

Responsibilities

• Be the friendly face of the client, supporting customers via chat, phone, or email.
• Resolve queries quickly and effectively, aiming for first-contact resolution with a personal touch.
• Own complex cases from start to finish, ensuring fairness, transparency, and excellent communication.
• Support investigations into fraud, disputes, and complaints with accuracy and empathy.
• Spot and support vulnerable customers, escalating when needed.
• Share your knowledge with teammates, helping to improve training and processes.
