Job summary

B&Q Galway is hiring a Customer Advisor on a full-time fixed-term contract. You’ll help customers with home improvement needs, drive sales, manage stock and displays, and keep the store looking its best. Training in paint-mixing and timber cutting is available to develop your skills.

Shifts run Monday to Sunday, 7.00am–10.00pm, with a weekend/evening/bank holiday rota. A friendly, proactive team environment and diversity in the workforce are emphasised.

Qualifications

• Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement.
• Friendly and outgoing, you’ll be right at home with us.
• Willing to expand skills using new technology and learning new ways of working.
• Great at working in a team and on a rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Shifts available Monday - Sunday, 7.00am - 10.00pm

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
