Job summary

B&Q Limerick is hiring a Checkouts Customer Advisor to help customers at the tills and in-store. You'll be the friendly face guiding shoppers, handling purchases, and supporting click & collect, displays, and store presentation.

Working in a team, you’ll rotate across shifts from 7.00am to 10.00pm, Monday to Sunday, part-time 18.75 hours weekly, with a notional rate of €15.45 per hour and Sunday premium €18.75 per hour. This is a permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Happy to help and eager to learn, with a passion for home improvement.
• Friendly, outgoing, and able to work well in a team.
• Willing to work on a rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at checkouts and provide product guidance.
• Handle click & collect, set up displays, and keep the store looking great.
• Be trained in various areas while delivering excellent customer service at the tills.

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like click & collect, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in various areas, but on the tills truly great customer service will be your main aim.

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
