Job summary

B&Q Ireland in Naas is seeking a Customer Advisor for a part-time role (12 hours/week) on a 3-month fixed-term contract. The position covers shifts Monday to Wednesday from 15:45 to 8:00, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service in-store.

You'll support sales, stock management and displays while being trained in paint-mixing and timber-cutting. A friendly, proactive approach and flexibility to work weekends and evenings are essential.

Qualifications

• Friendly, eager to learn and team player.
• Willingness to use new technology and adapt to rota changes.
• Excellent communication to help customers with home-improvement queries.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product selection and advice, prioritising service.
• Assist with stock management, displays setup, and store presentation.
• Learn paint-mixing and timber-cutting basics; keep customer service as priority.

What's the job?

Join our team, and you'll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You'll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What we need:

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you'll be right at home with us. You're friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You'll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You're great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
