Job summary

Capital Switchgear Limited seeks a Technical Project Engineer to own control panel and switchgear projects from client design through to production, testing and delivery. You will link clients with Engineering, Procurement and Production, reporting to the Projects Manager.

The role blends project management, technical engineering and client liaison, ensuring practical, manufacturable designs. Experience with data centre projects and HVAC controls is highly advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years’ experience in electrical engineering, control panels or switchgear.
• Knowledge of LV switchgear and control panels; ability to interpret drawings.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of assigned control panel projects from order through to completion.
• Coordinate client drawings, specifications, production, testing and delivery.
• Liaise with production and quality to resolve issues and document changes.
• Prepare BOMs, drawings and specifications; maintain technical documentation.
• Lead technical meetings and coordinate with client engineering teams.
