Job summary

Designer Group in Dublin is seeking an experienced Project Manager for large-scale M&E projects, including data centres. You will report to Contract Managers, supervise operations, and ensure delivery is safe, compliant, on time and within budget.

The role requires knowledge of electrical controls, BIM/Navisworks advantage, and strong people management, with flexibility to work outside normal hours. You will read drawings, coordinate procurement, and mentor apprentices.

Qualifications

• Combined M&E large-scale project experience with data centre projects.
• Knowledge of electrical controls systems.
• Proven track record on large-scale project delivery.
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours when required.
• Strong people management skills.
• Ability to multi-task efficiently.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings.
• Knowledge of BIM and Navisworks is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Report to Contract Managers and supervise operations on medium and large projects.
• Manage project programming, building progress, commissioning, weekly reporting, site meetings and closeout to profit targets.
• Supervise site personnel, coordinate subcontractors, trades, labour, materials and plant movement.
• Carry out installation works, surveys, design reviews and ensure installations meet contracts and specs.
• Coordinate procurement, delivery, quality checks, records and availability of plant and materials.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, subcontractors, trades and internal teams including QHS.
• Implement and monitor Designer Group Health & Safety and Quality procedures, toolbox talks and inductions.
• Mentor apprentices, complete staff assessments, maintain timesheets and site records.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications to support delivery.
