Electrical Construction Lead – Data Center Projects

Job summary

Designer Group is a leading international M&E provider headquartered in Dublin, delivering turnkey packages for design, supply and installation. We seek an experienced site supervisor/manager to lead medium and large projects and mentor apprentices while ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery.

You will coordinate procurement, liaise with clients, and implement H&S and Quality procedures across multiple teams on data centre initiatives. Flexibility to work outside hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering combined M&E large-scale projects, preferably data centres.
• Strong understanding of electrical controls systems.
• Proven track record of on-the-job effectiveness on large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Report to Contract Managers and supervise operations on medium and large projects, ensuring safety, compliance, on time delivery and budget.
• Manage project programming, building progress, commissioning, weekly reporting, site meetings and closeout to profit targets.
• Supervise site personnel, coordinate subcontractors, trades, labour, materials, plant movement and site installations.
• Carry out installation works, surveys, design reviews and ensure fit-for-purpose installations per contracts and specs.
• Coordinate procurement, delivery, quality checks, records and availability of plant/materials ensuring two-week planning.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, subcontractors, trades and internal teams including QHSE.
• Implement and monitor Designer Group Health & Safety and Quality procedures with toolbox talks and inductions.
• Mentor apprentices, complete staff assessments, maintain timesheets and site records.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications to support project delivery.
