What's the opportunity? (Role)
We are seeking an experienced, motivated Construction Site Manager to oversee on-site delivery of medium to large-scale projects, upholding performance, quality, safety and digital best practices. The ideal candidate is technically strong and digitally fluent, capable of managing subcontractors and site teams while upholding McKeon Group's high standards and embracing our digital workflows.
- Manage day-to-day site operations from commencement to completion.
- Ensure all work meets the highest Quality standards.
- Lead teams in closing out check sheets/observations on Procore, and maintain daily records, reports and site diaries.
- Implement and monitor programme milestones, liaising with the Project/Contracts Manager on sequencing and productivity.
- Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and logistics, including site and whiteboard meetings.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements, including Site Inductions and Toolbox Talks.
- Implement and manage digital construction tools.
- Attend coordination meetings with design teams, clients and stakeholders, and manage snagging, commissioning and handover.
- Lead preparation and management of the Safety File, ensuring documentation is maintained digitally.
- Drive continuous improvement and support/mentor junior site personnel and subcontractor teams.
- Promote collaboration and ensure delivery aligns with company values and client expectations.
- Play a key role in BCAR management by supporting the Quality Manager with BCAR documentation, inspections, certifications and audits, and tracking compliance milestones and documentation submissions.
Education & Experience
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Site Manager/Foreman with a Main Contractor (minimum 2 projects completed in Ireland).
- Proven ability to deliver complex projects safely and on time, with strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, building regulations and H&S standards.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance processes, BCAR and contract management (e.g. Public Works, RIAI).
- M&E systems knowledge and live/occupied environment experience are an advantage; valid Safe Pass and other site certifications required.
- Strong leadership and communication skills managing multidisciplinary site teams.
- Proficient with digital construction platforms — particularly Procore — for site management, inspections and reporting.
- Familiarity with BIM coordination and interpreting technical drawings and contract documents with confidence.
