Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Site Manager for a leading Main Contractor to oversee a renovation and extension of a protected structure into apartments in Athlone, with work across the West/Midlands region. The role requires a strong trades background, reading drawings, and a thorough knowledge of Irish regulations.

You will coordinate site staff and subcontractors, manage tight schedules, and maintain Procore diaries to document progress, safety incidents, and quality control,

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as Site Manager
• Trades background (carpentry) and ability to read drawings
• Knowledge of Irish building regulations and safety standards
• Familiar with Procore for site diaries and reporting
• Ability to drive projects and meet strict deadlines

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all site construction activities.
• Maintain an accurate site diary using Procore and record workforce levels for each sub-contractor.
• Manage project timelines and schedules to keep progress on track.
• Oversee works from plastering to final completion including snagging.
• Lead site staff and subcontractors to achieve project goals and quality.
• Ensure work meets high safety and compliance standards.

Job description

Site Manager required to join a leading Main Contractor based in Galway. This Site Manager will be working on a renovation and extension of a protected structure into apartments in Athlone. There is a long-term pipeline of work with this contractor in the West/Midlands region.

You will be part of an award-winning company renowned for setting industry standards and delivering high-quality commercial and residential projects

Role:

• Coordinating and supervising all site construction activities to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Maintaining an accurate and detailed site diary using Procore – including workforce levels for each sub-contractor and comprehensive records of site activities (Training will be provided if required)
• Managing and adhering to project timelines and schedules to keep progress on track.
• Overseeing projects from plastering/skimming through to 3rd fix, snagging and final completion.
• Leading and coordinating site staff and subcontractors to achieve project goals efficiently.
• Ensuring all work is performed to the highest of standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Requirements:

• Ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets.
• Site supervision experience with a trades background (ie carpentry).
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
• Knowledge of latest building regulations and certification standards.
• Previous experience as finishing foreman on a commercial/residential sites.
• Ability to drive projects and work within strict deadlines.
• Excellent understanding of Health & Safety requirements within Irish construction sites.
• 3 years+ experience as a Site Manager
• Salary €70k - €75k neg DOE
