Job summary

Holland Safety is seeking a Safety Advisor to join our team, supporting construction clients across Ireland. This field-based role involves site visits, risk assessments, and developing health and safety management systems to ensure regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will have a Level 7 Health & Safety qualification, at least 1 year of safety officer experience, and a clean EU driving licence. English and Spanish skills are a plus but not essential.

Qualifications

• Formal Health & Safety qualification (Level 7) or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a safety officer.
• Experience in Construction Industry preferred.
• Full, clean EU driving licence essential.
• Spanish language skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and improving Health & Safety Management Systems, including safety documentation and emergency procedures.
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections across sites to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Prepare and present detailed safety reports with recommendations, gaps, and action plans.
• Provide on-site safety supervision, aligning with project-specific requirements and safety protocols.
• Develop and manage documentation to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
• Advise clients on regulatory compliance, best practices, and emerging safety trends.
• Provide training and toolbox talks to client teams to foster a safety-focused culture.

Holland Safety is seeking a motivated Safety Advisor to join our growing team, supporting construction clients across the Ireland.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Health & Safety professional who enjoys working on-site, building strong client relationships, and helping organisations create safer workplaces. The role involves conducting site inspections, carrying out risk assessments, developing health and safety management systems, and ensuring compliance with Irish health and safety legislation.

As many of our clients are Spanish-speaking, fluency in both English and Spanish would be a distinct advantage, but is not essential for the right candidate.

As this is a field-based role involving regular travel to client sites, a full clean EU driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and improving Health & Safety Management Systems, including safety documentation and emergency response procedures, under the guidance of senior consultants.
• Conduct comprehensive safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections across diverse sites, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
• Prepare and present detailed safety reports, including recommendations, gap analysis, and action plans for ongoing client improvement.
• Provide on-site safety supervision, overseeing project-specific requirements and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Develop and manage documentation to ensure compliance with both internal and external standards.
• Advise clients on regulatory compliance, best practices, and emerging trends, fostering proactive safety strategies.
• Provide training and tool-box talks to client teams, ensuring the development of a culture of safety at all levels of the organisation.
• Stay informed on current safety regulations, industry standards, and innovations, helping clients stay ahead of regulatory changes.

Requirements:

• Level 7 Qualification (or similar) in Health & Safety or a relevant equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a safety officer in health and safety.
• Experience within the Construction Industry is preferred.
• Experience in Manufacturing or Plant and Machinery industry will also be considered.
• Full, clean EU driver’s license is essential (for site visits and client engagements).
