Job summary

SEED Environmental is seeking Construction Labourers to join our Roscommon operations. You and a Team Leader will work as a two-person team at homeowners' properties across the Republic of Ireland, performing site works, remediation, reinstatement and OFTEC tasks with on-the-job training and opportunities to grow skills.

We offer a permanent contract with a standard 8am to 4pm on-site schedule, plus benefits such as a company pension, life insurance, holiday entitlement, and enhanced overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience on a construction site with health and safety focus.
• Full EU driving licence is required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Right to work in the Republic of Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site works under the direction of the Team Leader and Contracts Manager.
• Assist with spill response operations and excavation works to remove contamination.
• Drive machinery and use power tools for intrusive construction works.
• Keep sites tidy, safe and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Support maintenance of equipment and document completed works with photos.

About the Role

We are seeking motivated Construction Labourers to join our expanding operations team in County Roscommon during an exciting time of rapid growth. As a Construction Labourer, you and a Team Leader will work as a team of two primarily at homeowner's properties around the Republic of Ireland. You'll undertake site works, as well as building, remediation, reinstatement and OFTEC works under the direction of the Team Leader, receiving training on the job and opportunities to expand your skill set where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out site works under the direction of the Team Leader and Contracts Manager
• Assist with spill response operations and hand-digging excavation works to facilitate contamination removal
• Drive machinery and use power tools to carry out intrusive construction works
• Keep sites tidy, clean and safe, identifying potential hazards and working in a controlled manner
• Support the maintenance and servicing of equipment, reporting faults when identified
• Assist with collecting photographs of completed works for documentation purposes
• Carry out works in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Utilise your own initiative, skills and knowledge where appropriate

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Essential Requirements:

• Experience gained in a construction site environment with appreciation for health and safety
• Full EU driving licence
• Ability to undertake a variety of physically demanding tasks
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Can-do attitude with an adaptable approach to work in a varied and sometimes challenging environment
• Positive attitude with a motivated approach and able to use own initiative
• Basic Irish Garda Clearance check
• Right to work in the Republic of Ireland
• Willingness to work away from home when necessary

Desirable:

• Ability to operate plant and machinery
• Experience with remediation works
• CSR/CSCS Card
• Background in demolition, construction, or landscaping

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of €27,000 - €32,000 per annum (dependent on experience) and provide a comprehensive range of benefits including:
