Job summary

Storm-Recruitment is seeking an experienced Area Technical Manager for the Connaught region of Ireland. You will own a newly created territory across Connaught, driving sales through specification with architects, main contractors, and building professionals.

The role spans both new-build and refurbishment projects, requiring strong relationship-building and technical acumen to secure specifications and win opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong specification sales experience within the construction or building products sector.
• Experience working through a specification route to market.
• Technical knowledge, ideally within building envelope products or a related construction environment.
• Experience working with architects, contractors, consultants, building surveyors or other construction professionals.
• Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage strong relationships with architects, main contractors, building surveyors and other construction professionals.
• Generate and secure product specifications across new-build and refurbishment projects.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities throughout the territory.
• Manage the sales pipeline and project activity from specification through to completion.
• Provide technical and commercial support to customers and key stakeholders.
• Work closely with internal teams to deliver appropriate technical and commercial solutions.
• Develop a strong understanding of customer requirements, market trends and industry developments.
• Manage and grow the assigned territory with a high level of ownership and autonomy.
• Achieve and exceed agreed regional sales targets.
