Job summary

The Great Southern Killarney is seeking an Assistant Conference & Banqueting Manager to support the seamless planning and delivery of conferences, weddings, banquets and meetings. This role combines hands-on event operations with staff leadership to maintain exceptional service and guest satisfaction.

Based in Killarney, you will read BEOs, coordinate with kitchen and hotel departments, and drive a culture of accountability while maintaining 5-star standards for every event.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing conferences, banquets and events.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate a team.
• Commitment to 5-star service standards and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for delivering events to a consistent 5-star standard.
• Read and understand all Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), ensuring events are delivered as planned.
• Lead and support the Conference & Banqueting team throughout service for each event.
• Coordinate with kitchen, bar and hotel departments to ensure seamless events.
• Maintain staffing levels and conduct pre/post-service briefings.
