Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group is seeking a dynamic Banqueting Manager to lead the setup and execution of weddings, conferences, banquets and large-scale events across our Dublin-area hotels. You will supervise the banqueting team, coordinate with events and kitchen staff, and ensure seamless service from arrival to breakdown.

The role requires strong leadership, organisational and communication skills, with a focus on delivering outstanding guest experiences while managing staffing and costs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years’ management experience in hotel conference and banqueting operations.
• Proven experience overseeing weddings, conferences and large functions.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of banqueting service, room setups and event execution.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the setup and smooth operation of weddings, conferences, banquets and large-scale functions.
• Lead and motivate the banqueting team to deliver exceptional service from setup to breakdown.
• Manage room layouts, function setups, service standards and operational details.
• Work closely with the events and kitchen teams to ensure every function runs seamlessly.
• Manage staff rosters, labour costs and staffing levels in line with business demands.
• Maintain the highest standards of food service, presentation and guest satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to maximise revenue and enhance the guest experience.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for organising, planning, and managing the cost-effective operation in the C&B department. Including beverage purchasing, meeting room set up and the serving of all food & beverage products. The successful candidate will strive to ensure the guest experience is the finest experience possible.

Your Key Duties and Responsibilities:

What You Will Need:

• A minimum 2–3 years’ management experience in hotel conference and banqueting operations role is essential.
• Proven experience overseeing weddings, conferences and large functions.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of banqueting service, room setups and event execution.
• A confident leader who can motivate, train and develop a team.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and midweek as required.
