Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group plc is seeking a Conference & Banqueting Porter in Cork. You will receive training through our Dalata Academy to build essential hospitality skills and be part of a friendly, growing team.

Reporting to the Conference & Banqueting Manager, you will ensure high standards in C&B and F&B areas, promote guest services, and contribute to a smooth operation in a fast-paced hotel environment. Previous hotel experience is welcomed but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with customers.
• Excellent command of the English language.

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Be a strong team player.
• Previous hotel experience in a 3/4-star property is desired but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Offer the highest level of guest service in Conference & Banqueting and Food & Beverage areas, ensuring standards are met.
• Work as part of a team, be aware of colleagues’ needs, and be flexible with hours.
• Promote sales within the department and across the hotel.
• Ensure C&B areas follow safe practices and address spills promptly.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of department SOPs, especially room setups.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• To offer the highest level of guest service in all Conference & Banqueting and Food & Beverage areas, ensuring the agreed standards are achieved at all times.
• To work as part of a team, being aware of colleagues and their needs, and being flexible with working hours.
• To promote sales within the department and across the hotel.
• To ensure that the C&B areas have safe working practices and that all spillages, etc, are tended to without delay.
• To ensure that you have an in-depth knowledge of your department's standard operating procedures, particularly room setups.
