Job summary

Qualifications

• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry items up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion meals according to patient dietary requirements and medical specifications with precision and care.
• Deliver meals to patients in a timely and professional manner, ensuring proper food temperatures and presentation.
• Assist patients with eating and drinking as needed, providing support with patience, dignity, and respect.
• Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in all food preparation and service areas in compliance with healthcare facility protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients to understand their dietary preferences and report any concerns to supervisory staff promptly.
• Clean and sanitize food service equipment, utensils, and work surfaces according to established protocols and infection control standards.
• Monitor and report on patient food intake and any dietary issues, allergies, or special requirements.
• Support inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and organization of food supplies.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and special dietary needs with a supportive and professional attitude.
• Adhere to all healthcare facility policies, procedures, and infection control standards.
• Work flexibly across varied shifts to support the continuous needs of patient care.
