Job summary

Right at Home Cork is inviting applications for care workers to assist clients at home across Cork City and suburbs. The role involves personal and practical care, helping with dressing, bathing, meal prep, and light housework while promoting independence and safety in the home.

Applicants should have QQI Level 5 Healthcare courses, good communication skills, reliability, and a full clean driver’s license with own transport.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in or have completed a QQI Level 5 Healthcare related course (minimum of Care Skills and Care of the Older Person courses) (essential)
• At least 1 year of relevant healthcare experience providing quality care (desirable)
• Up-to-date patient moving & handling certificate (desirable)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (essential)
• Reliable and trustworthy with a strong commitment to providing high levels of care (essential)
• Full clean drivers license with own transport (essential)

Responsibilities

• Assisting with both personal and practical care tasks e.g. dressing, washing/bathing, light household work, meal preparation
• Observing a clients health and wellbeing
• Promoting a clients own independence
• Reporting any concerns to our Supervisor team.
