Job summary

Cheeverstown House is seeking a dedicated Community Inclusion Coach to support adults with intellectual disabilities in the community and in local settings. The role involves one-to-one and group work focused on employment, education, health and wellbeing, social roles, and money management.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 7+ qualification, experience with intellectual disabilities, and strong communication, relationship-building, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional qualification Level 7 or above.
• Experience of working with people with intellectual disabilities.
• Values aligned with Cheeverstown’s values.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability in relationship building and promoting inclusion.
• Flexibility and ability to respond to changing needs and situations.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and on own initiative.
• Ability to collaborate and work as a member of a team.
• Full clean driver’s licence and access to car.
• Good IT and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Work one-to-one and in groups in the community, supporting people with employment, travel, education and training, health and wellbeing, social roles, recreational activities, volunteering and money management.
• Maximise opportunities for people to be included and active in their own communities.
• Empower people to live full and meaningful lives.
