Job summary

Cheeverstown House seeks a dedicated Community Inclusion Coach to empower adults with disabilities in the community. You will provide support across employment, travel, education and training, health and wellbeing, social roles, recreational activities and money management.

The role focuses on inclusion, autonomy and meaningful community participation, working one-to-one and in groups to build confidence and independence. A relevant qualification and a valid driver’s licence are essential.

Qualifications

  • A relevant professional qualification e.g. Social Care, Supported Employment, Training and/or Education (Level 7 or above).
  • Experience of working with people with intellectual disabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong listening skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and on own initiative.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work one-to-one and in groups in the community supporting employment, travel, education and training, health and wellbeing, social roles, recreation, volunteering and money management.
  • Maximise opportunities for people to be included and active in their own communities.
  • Empower people to live full and meaningful lives.
