Job summary

Corlann – West Region is seeking a committed Team Leader (CNM1/Social Care Leader) for John Paul Adult Services in Ballybane, Co Galway. This role involves leading and developing teams to deliver person-centred services for adults with intellectual disabilities.

The post requires CORU/NMBI registration, a QQI Level 6 in Health and Social Care Management, and at least three years post-qualification experience. Proficiency in English and a valid driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• A relevant 3rd level qualification in Nursing and current Live Register Certificate from NMBI or be registered in the Social Care Workers Register – CORU, or eligible under Section 91 route.
• A Health and Social Care Management QQI Level 6 qualification is required or commitment to obtaining it prior to taking up the post.
• Minimum three years post-qualification experience, working with people with an Intellectual Disability is essential.
• Demonstrate commitment to community integration and active citizenship for people with disabilities, including human rights and advocacy.
• Experience in autism and behaviours of concern would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise teams while ensuring service development in line with national standards and best practice.
• Assist the Team Manager with management of services, including person-centred planning, resource management and staffing, rosters and staff development.
• Ensure the lived experience of individuals reflects the organisation’s values of dignity, independence and community connection.
• Provide leadership and professional guidance to ensure high quality of life for those supported.
• Flexible working hours and potential night duty may be required as part of residential services.
