Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a reliable and motivated Commis Chef to join our catering team at The King’s Hospital School in Dublin. You will assist with preparation, cooking and presentation of meals while upholding high standards of hygiene and safety.

You’ll work Monday to Friday, 10:00am – 6:30pm, at €15.50 per hour. There are opportunities for career development and a comprehensive Sodexo benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen or catering environment.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP and allergens.
• Good attention to detail and pride in food quality and presentation.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to learn and support the wider catering team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation, cooking and presentation of meals.
• Support kitchen team with daily food preparation and service.
• Follow menus, recipes and portion control standards.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, HACCP and Health & Safety.
• Follow procedures for allergens and special dietary requirements.
• Assist with stock control, storage and stock rotation.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an efficient catering service.
