Job summary

Foodgame Limited in Ringsend, Dublin, is seeking a motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. You will assist with preparation and cooking, ensuring high standards of quality, hygiene and organisation. This full‑time role is 39 hours per week, with a salary of €36,605 gross per annum ( €18.05 per hour ).

You will follow HACCP procedures, assist with stock rotation and support senior chefs. Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years in a professional kitchen; culinary qualifications are

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a professional kitchen environment.
• Previous experience in a Commis Chef or similar kitchen position is desirable.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a kitchen team.
• Ability to work in a busy kitchen environment.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and established food preparation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and cooking according to the menu.
• Prepare ingredients, including washing, peeling, cutting and portioning.
• Assist senior chefs with daily kitchen operations.
• Follow recipes and food preparation procedures.
• Maintain appropriate standards of food quality and presentation.
• Ensure food is stored correctly and safely.
• Follow HACCP, food safety and health and safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations and kitchen equipment.
• Assist with stock rotation and checking deliveries.
• Assist in minimising food waste and using ingredients efficiently.
• Work effectively as part of the kitchen team.
• Follow instructions from senior kitchen staff.
• Carry out other reasonable duties associated with the Commis Chef position.
