Job summary

Sodexo Ltd at Rathdown School in Glenageary, Co. Dublin, is seeking a motivated Commis Chef to join the catering team. You’ll support preparation and service of nutritious meals, while upholding food safety, hygiene and customer service standards.

Working alongside the Chef Manager, you’ll help with stock control, menu delivery and events, develop your culinary skills, and contribute to a welcoming kitchen environment. This role offers training, a supportive team, and the Sodexo benefits package.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen or catering environment is desirable.
• A relevant culinary qualification is desirable.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene, health & safety and allergen requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation, cooking and presentation of food to the required standards.
• Support the delivery of menus in line with Sodexo guidelines and customer requirements.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and health & safety.
• Support effective stock control, storage and food cost management.
• Serve customers professionally and provide a welcoming service.
• Support the team with functions and events.
• Maintain a clean, organised and professional kitchen environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support new team members where required.
• Attend relevant training and follow all Sodexo and client procedures.
