Job summary

Pba Sales Recruitment in Ireland is seeking a Commercial Manager for Raw Materials – Ingredients based in Ashford, County Wicklow. This role focuses on driving commercial, operational and financial performance and building a strong pipeline across EMEA.

Reporting to the Commercial and Operational Excellence Director, you will drive business development, manage P&L, and lead strategic partnerships while ensuring continuity and profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial and management experience, ideally within a distribution or operationally focused business.
• Evidence of P&L management and profitable growth.
• Sound understanding of market dynamics, customer behaviour, and competitive pressures.
• Experience with founder-led or entrepreneurial businesses within a matrixed group structure is highly desirable.
• Experience leading systems or process change whilst maintaining business continuity.
• Strong financial awareness and ability to use management information to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the P&L performance.
• Contribute to the business strategy and operating plan, and drive delivery against agreed performance targets.
• Grow the animal nutrition portfolio across EMEA through market mapping, building strategic partnerships and establishing and maintaining a strong commercial pipeline.
• Drive performance across key functional areas of the business, working closely with the MD and wider management team.

The Commercial Manager, Ireland is responsible for driving the commercial, operational, and financial performance of the business, working closely with the Managing Director, and for driving business development and acquisition activity in support of the businesses growth.

Reporting to the Commercial and Operational Excellence Director, the role combines broad commercial and operational responsibility with strong local market presence, driving business performance and development to deliver sustainable growth and long-term value.

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong commercial and management experience, ideally within a distribution or operationally focused business
• Strong commercial background, with clear evidence of P&L management and delivery of profitable growth Sound understanding of market dynamics, customer behaviour, and competitive pressures
• Experience working effectively with founder-led or entrepreneurial businesses within a matrixed group structure is highly desirable
