Job summary

ICDS (UK) Ltd in Cork is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the operational and commercial delivery of industrial insulation and mechanical services projects. The role focuses on controlling costs, managing variations, and safeguarding profitability while ensuring safety, timely delivery and budget compliance.

The successful candidate will bring a strong background in QS/Commercial Management with leadership and client-facing capabilities, and will travel across Ireland and Europe as required.

Qualifications

• Background in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management or Engineering.
• Strong commercial experience: cost control, valuations, variations, forecasting and final accounts.
• Experience managing construction/industrial/mechanical services or specialist contracting projects.
• Leadership and client-facing skills are essential.
• Experience in industrial insulation, mechanical services, pharma, life sciences or data centres is advantageous.

This is a key leadership position within our clients Industrial Insulation and Mechanical Services business and will play an important role in supporting the continued growth of the company.

Summary of the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused individual who can oversee both the operational and commercial aspects of project delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project performance, commercial controls, client relationships, and profitability while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are particularly interested in candidates who have:

• A background in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong commercial experience including cost control, valuations, variations, forecasting, and final accounts.
• Experience managing construction, industrial, mechanical services, insulation, or specialist contracting projects.
• Strong leadership and client-facing skills.
• Experience within the industrial insulation, mechanical services, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or data centre sectors would be advantageous.

Remuneration Package

• Salary: €70,000 - €90,000 depending on experience.
