Job summary

Irish Specialist Mechanical & Industrial Contractor, based in Co Cork, seeks an Operations & Commercial Manager to lead the commercial and operational performance of multiple projects across Ireland and Europe. You will oversee cost control, valuations, variations, and labour productivity while maintaining strong client relationships and travel as required.

The ideal candidate has a Quantity Surveying or commercial background with mechanical knowledge, is comfortable reading layouts, isometric

Qualifications

• Strong Quantity Surveying and/or commercial management experience in construction.
• Experience with valuations, variations, forecasting, cost control and final accounts.
• Mechanical knowledge and ability to read mechanical layouts, isometrics and PIDs.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects commercially and operationally from award to final account.
• Monitor expenditure, labour productivity, margins and overall commercial performance.
• Prepare valuations and monthly applications for payment.
• Prepare, negotiate and recover variations and change orders.
• Forecast final project costs and profitability; manage final accounts submissions.
