Job summary

Our client is a well-established, independent insurance broker in Ireland seeking a Commercial Insurance Broker to join their commercial team. You’ll manage a portfolio of commercial clients, arranging the right cover with insurers and handling renewals.

The role covers Property, Professional Indemnity, Liability, Construction and related lines, with a hybrid working setup from Navan or Cavan, and a path to long-term career stability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial insurance broking.
• Relay experience
• CIP qualified or APA (with Commercial Insurance exam passed).
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial lines.
• Confident handling a client portfolio and new business enquiries.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A team player with a focus on compliance and service.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of commercial clients, handling both existing business and new business enquiries.
• Work with clients and insurers to arrange the right cover and manage renewals.
• Provide clear, professional advice on cover and compliance.
• Main lines of business include Property, Professional Indemnity, Liability, Construction and others.

Our client is a well-established, independent insurance broker with over 40 years of experience. They have access to more than 20 insurers across a wide range of commercial lines, and they’re known for impartial advice and strong long-term client relationships. Due to a colleague’s upcoming retirement, they are now looking for an experienced Commercial Insurance Broker to join their commercial team.

The role

You’ll manage and develop a portfolio of commercial clients, handling both existing business and new business enquiries, with the balance depending on your experience. You’ll work with clients and insurers to arrange the right cover, manage renewals and give clear, professional advice. Your main lines of business will be:

• Property


• Professional Indemnity


• Liability


• Construction and others

The team

• You’ll join a commercial team of 4 to 5 brokers.


• You’ll report to the directors


• Opportunity available in Cavan or Navan

About you
