Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Commercial Financial Accountant for its Dublin West operation. The role is hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days WFH) and focuses on month-end accounting, balance sheet management, and commercial finance support.

You will review margins, support budgeting, and liaise with auditors during the annual audit. ACA/ACCA/CPA qualifications and solid balance sheet reconciliation experience are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CPA) with recent relevant industry experience.
• Strong experience preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Review gross margins and sales as part of month-end accounts and reporting.
• Support budgeting and financial planning activities.
• Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
• Ensure balance sheet accounts and valuations align with accounting policies.
• Act as finance point of contact for external auditors during the annual audit.

This is your opportunity to join a growing business with international operations, headquartered in West Dublin as a Commercial Financial Accountant role. The company has experienced significant growth in recent years and this role has been created as a result of continued business expansion.

As Commercial Financial Accountant, you will take on a varied role combining month-end accounting, balance sheet management and commercial finance support.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Review gross margin and sales as part of the month-end accounts and reporting process.
• Work with the Commercial team to ensure commercial agreements are correctly reflected and relevant amounts are reclaimed.
• Support budgeting and financial planning activities.
• Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate outstanding or reconciling items.
• Ensure balance sheet accounts and valuations are appropriately stated and in line with accounting policies.
• Support the resolution of invoice posting, GR/IR, debt and recharge queries.
• Act as a finance point of contact for external auditors in relation to the annual audit of balance sheet accounts.
