Qualifications

  • 5+ years post-qualification experience in a senior finance role.
  • Experience supporting sales teams and commercial decision-making.
  • Strong knowledge of revenue recognition and contracts.
  • Experience in software/SaaS pricing is desirable.
  • Exposure to IFRS/FRS 102 and multi-entity environments.

Responsibilities

Commercial Finance Manager - Dublin City Centre

Our client, a global Irish technology company who are seeking an experienced Commercial Finance Manager to join their Finance team in Dublin.

This is a high-profile role offering significant exposure across the business, working closely with Sales, Legal, Finance and senior stakeholders to support commercial decision-making and business growth.

The Role

As Commercial Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting global sales teams, managing commercial finance activities, ensuring appropriate revenue recognition, and delivering insightful reporting to support strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analysing historic and current financial performance, identifying trends, variances and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitoring performance against forecasts and budgets and partnering with stakeholders to address key deviations.
  • Leading pricing activities, including maintaining price lists, competitor analysis and supporting pricing governance.
  • Providing commercial finance support for tenders, quotations, deal pricing and contract reviews.
  • Supporting the application of revenue recognition policies and reviewing internal accounting reports.
  • Managing and reporting on key supplier relationships.
  • Supporting the monthly reporting cycle and broader finance operations.
  • Leveraging analytics and reporting tools, including ERP, CRM and data visualisation platforms.
  • Supporting ESG reporting readiness and monitoring evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Managing global insurance policies and contractual renewals.
  • Supporting corporate planning, tax strategy and other strategic finance initiatives.
  • Participating in finance transformation, systems and process improvement projects.
About You

We are looking for a commercially minded, analytically strong finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, international environment.

You will ideally have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
  • 5+ years' post-qualified experience.
  • Significant experience in a senior finance role within an international or global organisation.
  • Strong experience supporting commercial and sales teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial contracts and revenue recognition.
  • Experience with software/SaaS pricing methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Exposure to IFRS and/or FRS 102.
  • Experience working with multiple entities across different geographies.
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience with analytics and dashboarding tools such as Tableau, Power BI or similar would be beneficial.
  • An interest in ESG reporting and sustainability requirements is advantageous.
