Abrivia Recruitment Specialists is seeking a skilled CNC Turner/Machinist to setup and operate turning machines, ensuring parts meet tight tolerances. You will read drawings, select tooling, and verify dimensions using precision gauges, while maintaining a safe, efficient work area.

You should have proven turning experience, be detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in a small team. The role is onsite with a 39-hour week and potential progression in a precision engineering

Qualifikationen

• Proven CNC Turner or Machinist with turning experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings accurately.
• Experience with turning operations, tooling and offsets.
• Experience machining to tight tolerances and using metrology tools.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Methodical, detail-oriented and quality-focused.
• Reliable, with good timekeeping and a team mindset.
• Capable of working independently and meeting deadlines.

Aufgaben

• Set up and run CNC lathes/turning machines and select tooling.
• Make offset adjustments and prove out programs safely.
• Machine components to required dimensions and tolerances.
• Carry out first-off and in-process checks with precision gauges.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and document production records.
