Job summary

Lisnabrin Engineering Ltd is seeking a CNC Operator for its Mitchelstown facility. The role covers setup, operation and optimisation of CNC machines to produce high-precision components during a peak period, with a 39-hour week and a permanent contract.

You will join a multi-skilled team, ensure quality and safety, and help meet production targets. Experience with turning or milling CNC machines and familiarity with programming environments is preferred.

Qualifications

2+ years’ experience as a CNC Operator, Setter or Machinist (Turning or Milling).
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of CNC machinery and tooling.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and measurement tools.
Experience with controllers such as Citizen, Doosan, Fanuc, Hurco, Mitsubishi etc.
Good computer skills and basic understanding of CAD/CAM (advantage).
Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork ability.

Responsibilities

Machine Setup & Operation for CNC Milling or Turning.
Set up and operate CNC Milling or Turning machines (e.g., Citizen, Doosan, Fanuc, Hurco, Mitsubishi).
Select, load, and adjust programs, cutting tools, speeds, and feeds according to job specifications.
Prepare and load raw materials and components.
Supervise machine operation and optimise performance.
Perform deburring, finishing, and part inspection as required.
Maintain shift documentation and production records.
