Job summary

Abrivia Recruitment Specialists is seeking an experienced 3-Axis CNC Mill Operator / Machinist for a well-established Irish precision engineering manufacturer in Dublin. The role is fully onsite with finishing early on Fridays, and you will own the job from setup to inspection.

You will set up and run 3-axis CNC mills, fit tooling, set offsets, load programs, inspect parts with precision gauges, and maintain production and quality records while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CNC Miller or CNC Machinist
• Experience setting and operating 3-axis CNC milling machines
• Confident reading of engineering drawings
• Knowledge of Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens, Mazatrol or similar controls
• CAM software experience
• Experience machining aluminium, stainless steel or other engineering materials
• CNC programming or program editing experience

Responsibilities

• Set up and run 3-axis CNC milling machines from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Fit tooling, set work and tool offsets, and choose speeds, feeds and machining strategies.
• Load and check programs and make small edits when needed.
• Inspect first-offs and check parts during production with precision gauges; hold tight tolerances.
• Keep production and quality records accurate; follow safety and procedures.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and quality teams.
