Job summary

Caragh Precision is seeking a skilled CNC turning operator to program, set up and run Swiss-type machines on-site in an established manufacturing environment. You will read engineering drawings, select appropriate tooling, and perform first-off set-ups and in-process checks to ensure parts meet exact tolerances.

The role requires precision measuring experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Swiss-type CNC turning and programming experience required.
• Able to read engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment.
• Trade or technical qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up and run Swiss-type CNC turning machines.
• Read drawings, specifications, work instructions, and inspection requirements.
• Select, install and verify cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters.
• Complete machine changeovers and first-off set-ups, ensuring parts meet specs.
• Carry out in-process checks and record results on required documentation.
• Monitor machine performance and product quality, escalate non-conformances.
• Achieve production targets while maintaining quality and safety.
• Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement of Swiss turning processes.
• Maintain machines, tooling and work area in a safe, clean condition.
• Support and train CNC operators as required.
• Comply with all company policies and safety requirements.
