Caragh Precision is seeking a skilled CNC turning operator to program, set up and run Swiss-type machines on-site in an established manufacturing environment. You will read engineering drawings, select appropriate tooling, and perform first-off set-ups and in-process checks to ensure parts meet exact tolerances.
The role requires precision measuring experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Caragh Precision are leaders in the Manufacture of Precision Engineered Products for the Medical Device Industry, specialising in Orthopaedics, Structured Heart and Vascular Access Products. We work closely with Medical Device Manufacturers assisting in all stages of the product lifecycle from concept realisation to volume Manufacturing.
Program, set up and runSwiss-type CNC turningmachines in line with approved manufacturing instructions and production schedules.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and inspection requirements.
Select, install and verify cutting tools, fixtures, workholding and machining parameters appropriate to the operation.
Complete machine changeovers and first-off set-ups, confirming that parts meet specified dimensional and visual requirements before production proceeds.
Carry out in-process checks using approved measuring and gauging equipment and accurately record results on the required documentation and systems.
Monitor machine performance and product quality, identify deviations, make permitted adjustments, and escalate non-conformances or complex problems promptly.
Achieve agreed daily and weekly production targets while maintaining quality, traceability and compliance requirements.
Support troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement activities relating toSwiss turning processes, tooling, cycle time, scrap and downtime.
Maintain machines, tooling, fixtures and the work area in a safe, clean and organised condition, and report maintenance requirements or equipment issues.
Support and train CNC operators in routine machine operation, set-up activities, inspection requirements, and documented procedures where required.
Comply with all company policies, environmental, quality, health and safety requirements at all times.
Swiss-type CNCturning, machine setting and programming experience are essential.
Ability to read engineering drawings and understand dimensional tolerances and specifications.
Practical experience using precision measuring and gauging equipment.
Accuracy, strong attention to detail, and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Relevant trade, technical or third-level qualification, or equivalent practical experience, desirable.
